Despite a recession that has affected all of us this year, in our daily work, we know immigrants continue to make significant contributions to help maintain America’s scientific, economic, and cultural strengths.  Our clients work in all sectors of U.S. academia and research industries, and they play vital roles in the growth and prosperity of this country by engineering innovative technologies and advancing the life, physical, biomedical, and social sciences.  We are grateful for the opportunity to assist such talented individuals in the immigration process, so the United States can retain extraordinary immigrants, outstanding professors and researchers, and exceptional scientists and scholars. 

During the past 11 months in 2009, our firm has had more than 300 I-140 immigrant petitions approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.  We are happy to report a 100% approval rate for EB-1B petitions, a 97% approval rate for NIW petitions, and a 90% approval rate for EB-1A petitions.  In addition, we continue to maintain a 100% approval rate for nonimmigrant petitions.  It has been our privilege to assist you in these important matters.

Because we come from families that have experienced the complex immigration system, we understand the importance of providing reliable, professional quality services for our clients.  This year we welcomed three new members to our team.  Attorney Sabrina Ong joins us from the Michigan Court of Appeals.  Case Manager Lisa Vincent is a graduate of The University of Texas McCombs School of Business.  Tiffany Smith is a Certified Legal Assistant.  We also have expanded our office space and upgraded our telephone and computer systems, so we can work more effectively and efficiently on your case(s).  At this time, we are developing a new client database to enhance our ability to track client records, so when your priority date becomes current, our office can notify you immediately.  In addition, our new web site will launch in 2010, and we hope it will serve as a resource for you during the complex immigration process.

Outside of the office, our attorneys play active roles in the professional community, assisting in pro bono immigration cases and participating at AILA and USCIS meetings and events throughout the year.  Currently, Attorney Kellie Pai is the program committee chair for the upcoming spring conference for the AILA Texas Chapter, and Attorney Christina T. Le served as a coordinator at this year’s AILA Annual Conference.  We look forward to continuing these professional activities.
