美国已经着手分配新冠疫苗，但在接种顺位的排序上却引起争议，因为已经有3州把吸烟者排在接种优先顺位。

《福斯新闻》报导，宾州卫生部门的第一阶段疫苗分配计划中，包括16至64岁高风险医疗状况族群以及吸烟者，吸烟者的顺位甚至高于教育工作者、现场应急人员、邮政工作者，卫生部门发言人表示，排序是依据疾控中心的建议，但居民对此感到震惊。
