周三，美国一名联邦法官否决了一项全国性暂停驱逐令，称新冠疫情救援措施超出了美国疾病控制与预防中心(The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 简称CDC)的权力。

CDC以公共健康为由，暂停了驱逐租户的做法，为在疫情期间拖欠租金的数百万租户提供了保护。但一系列相互冲突的下级法院裁决令人们对暂缓令的合法性产生了质疑，给房东和租户都带来了不确定性。
